Mission

Driven by Compassion

Our Vision

At Sheep Advocate Australia, we are dedicated to raising awareness of the systemic cruelty faced by sheep within the entire Australian sheep industry. Currently dedicated to the Victorian state — the state that leads in lamb killing — our initiatives seek to drive impactful change in welfare regulations, notably the Sheep Code of Practice, with a long-term vision to alter and improve the national standards.

We also focus directly on documenting sheep cruelty out in the field, in paddocks, and lodging formal complaints with the regulator, Agriculture Victoria — shining a large spotlight on the department’s entrenched failures and the fraudulent welfare system that fails animals. Agriculture Victoria is a department that serves the industry and protects them, not the best interests of animals.

We strive for a better future where all sheep can be treated with kindness, respect, and dignity, ultimately ending the commodification of them.

Living a Full Life

Our Initiatives

Focus Areas

Our advocacy efforts are concentrated on improving sheep welfare standards and promoting changes in regulations. We believe in making a tangible difference, starting with raising awareness and educating the general public.

EXPOSE

Informing the Public

We believe that the first step toward change is educating public about the brutality of the Australian sheep industry and how our governments shield this industry out of a misguided sense of patriotism and economic conditioning.

REGULATE

Advocating for Change

We lobby for comprehensive changes in social and legal frameworks regarding animal welfare to ensure sheep are protected from cruelty across Australia.

PHASE OUT

Due to a deteriorating environment, a shift in acceptance, and a gradual push from advocates, we believe that the phase-out of the Australian Sheep Industry is a slow yet unavoidable process.
